well the right kind of shampoo and conditioner will be a good start...
I don't really have alot of experience with african american hair which is what I am assuming you have just from the products you spoke of ... so i am sure someone else can recommend something different
Humectress it is made by Nexxus but you can get the generic version of it at Sally's for far less the price.
A humectant's purpose is to help the hair retain the moisture.. you can use it as a conditioner everyday... you can use it a couple times a week as a deep conditioning treatment by slathering it on and then putting on a shower cap and applying some heat... either hairdryer or simple going outside or wrapping a towel over the cap to retain the moisture wear it for as long as you can stand to.
