What's the best hair products (shampoo, conditioner, gel) for guys?

Use what's good for your hair type. There are plenty of products that market ';MEN's shampoo...conditioner...etc.'; but it's just a gimmick to sell two different shampoos to one household. Anykind will work just fine.

If your hair is thin, try AVEDA's rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner. If it's thick try pantene or REDKEN's All Soft.

As for a gel, get something over the counter! Just remember to wash it out often.(At least every other day)What's the best hair products (shampoo, conditioner, gel) for guys?
I use FRUCTIS shampoo and gel. What's the best hair products (shampoo, conditioner, gel) for guys?

  • What are the best hair products to use with a hair straighner?

Look for a hair oil that is made for use with a hot iron. It protects your hair from damage from heat.

Also, they have a Therma-Silk hair shampoo and conditioner than does the same thing.

Good Luck! What are the best hair products to use with a hair straighner?
    chi products such as sprays.

or vavooms dry mist is my personal favorite mostly becuase its a dry mist so when you spray it on your hair if it gets anywhere where it is already straightened it doesnt become curly again.

    its my personal favorite.

and to get any of the products your looking for i would suggest going to trade secret. its a great place for hair products and they have really great prices. heres the link

    http://www.tradesecret.com/

    hope i helped!

    star for you * =]

and by the way i wouldnt recomend gells becuase its hard to get it everywhere and it makes your hair greasy faster. its just easier to manage with a spray. What are the best hair products to use with a hair straighner?
my advice is dnt use hairspray mosse it fukes s up ur hair um what i use is 2 thing its called press it cream and spray but u have to get it at a hair salon most of them u do it works wonders and makes ur hair smell fantastic but again dnt use hair spray not only does it mess up ur hair but it masses up ur plates so dnt use that
The best products to use on your hair when using a hair straightener would be Sleek by Biolage. The whole line is awesome and not too expensive either. You definitely have to try ';Iron Smoother';. That's the best!

    Good luck!
    I use StraightSexyHair.

You can get it at Wal-Mart, or any hair salon.

It keeps all the frizz down, and your hair won't get damaged when you straighten it.

    any kind of smoothing balm..

I like garnier fructese or Frizz ease..

just use very little and mainly towards the ends

The best one is called Secret weapon flawless finishing cream.(from frizz ease).way less expensive than salon products and works great..and lasts forever!!
theres this stuff at walmart its called citra shine, its amazing. its like $3 a bottle in the hair care isle. it works like nothing else. i have frizzy hair and with one spray and one run through of the straightener its perfect.
i use a oil sheen (you can buy at walmart for about 3 dollars)

or i use pantene for women of color. and it makes it silky and shiny,

but dooooo noooot usssse alot of it or itll be oily like
anything by bumble and bumble is awesome. i think you have to buy it at a salon though, so you might have to call around. i use their product called defrizz and then a smoothing spray and it works all day long.
Biolage Smoothing Serum. It works wonders. It's only $14 and it lasts for a few months. I live in Texas with horrible humidty....my hair always stays straight.
I use the Matix Sleek Look. It is in an Orange bottle. You can purchase this at Great Clips.
stay away from products like herbal essence and pantene try to buy products at the salon instead of walgreens or ect..
Frizz Ease protecion serum, and a glossing polish after.
spray wax, chi silk infusion, pual mitchells super skinny serum to name a few theres a ton of things that work
it depends what kind of hair you have. I have thick hair and alittle oil sheen spray works fine
    Redken and Herbal essenses.

    Xx
    tresimay heat control spray
    redken
A heat protectant spray like Redken or Tresseme :)
i use flat iron spray. its in a purple spray bottle and it works wonders
    moose or hairspray
    glosser

ugh, i had to get up to answer that

Whats the best hair product to use when straighting hair most spray products make my hair look greasy?

Try a dry mist, it wont make your hair greasy, i love matirx Vavoom GoldHeat Iron In ControlWhats the best hair product to use when straighting hair most spray products make my hair look greasy?
try 1/2 cup of beer, to 1/2 cup of water, add a half tsp of vinegar to this, put in a spray bottle and dampen as you straighten. Natural detangler, absolutly no added oil, amazing softness and shine, very economical, and no residual odor like I thought there might be before I tried it, and I have used this method for 7 years.Whats the best hair product to use when straighting hair most spray products make my hair look greasy?
Fashionista Smooth and Shine by Catwalk-Tigi. I usually run a small amount (about the size of a dime) through my hair right after I wash it, then blow dry for a smooth, sleek straight look. It can also be applied to dry hair. My hair has the tendency to get great when using straightening products, but Fashionista does not make it greasy at all. I highly recommend it.
Use less of the product. I find that using a cream based product (like the consistency of conditioner works well. But don't use a lot, it will only weigh your hair down.
you can straighten your hair daily by blow drying it straight OR you can also buy a really good straightner at sallys beauity supply for a really good price
You don't need spray products. If your hair gets greasy easily, try to rinse your hair out with cold water and don't use conditioner.
Dove Heat Protecting Spray is the best! It is only like $5 and works very well

Whats the best hair products to moisterize your hair when you have 360 waves?

Best hair products for straight hair to scrunch or at least hold?

i want to make my hair curly, and i tried scrunching today, which helps, but whats the best product to make it stay? lik a moose or something? product names and opinions of them would be helpful.

ps. my hair is straight n ive tried pantene hairspray, but doesn't do too well.Best hair products for straight hair to scrunch or at least hold?
This is the perfect way to scrunch straight hair. Hope it helps..

~ Wrap hair into a towel on top of your head as soon as you get out of the shower.

~Once you are dressed then let hair down.

~Get garnier Fructis Hard Curl gel ( i think its called Scrunching gel now tho... ? )

~Scrunch with hands until gel is even through out your hair.

~Then grab a towel and drape it over your hand and then scrunch. ( the towel helps soak up some of the water to make it scrunch better)

~then buy some Aussie Sprunch Spray ( it comes in apurple plastic bottle ) Tilt head upside-down and spray evenly and then scrunch with towel again.

~Flip hair back up... settle it how you want it and then spray in sections and scrunch one more time all over.

Your hair will look GREAT! i promise! And this stuff is stiff when you hair is still wet and then settles like there is nothing in your hair pretty much!

Happy scrunching!! :)Best hair products for straight hair to scrunch or at least hold?
When I am done washing my hair, I usually turn my head upside down and run my fingers through my roots kind of roughly. It's hard to explain haha. But I then flip my hair and do it again. After it has some body I will use Tresseme (sp?) mousse and scrunch my hair. When I'm satisfied I'll dry it on the lowest heat setting while still scrunching it. After that if I want some more curls, I'll wrap pieces around a hot curling iron. Then finally finish with some hairspray. I hope that this helps. I also use different mark. products for curly hair. Check out meetmark.com for products!
I use the garnier fructis scrunch stuff. my hair's kinda wavy naturally but not in a good way, and it's really resistant to styling, so i have to use A LOT. i think it really holds though if you use a lot and scrunch persistently. hope that helps?
You can use either mousse or hairspray, and put it in your just washed, humid hair. Braid it overnight, and undo your braid/s the next day, and you'll have curly hair :)

Best hair products to make your hair hard and wavy for straight hair?

My natural hair is kinky/wavy so I usually put a relaxer in it for two-five minutes and once it's out, my hair is completely straight. So, I usually put gel in my hair so that it has a slight wave to it. I usually use infusium 23 and tresemme, but I think that my hair has gotten used to it because my hair is no longer hard-ish. What else should I use? If I don't put anything in it, it's straight with a bit waves.

This is what my hair looks like without products (besides it's thicker and slightly poofy)

Best hair products for african american hair?

there are lots of things we cant put in our hair so i was wondering what are some good products i can use in my hair to keep it healthy.Best hair products for african american hair?
There are a lot of products we can't put in our hair? Really? I wasn't aware of this and I don't know what you mean by it. If you're talking about petroleum-laced products then I agree that we shouldn't put that $hit in our hair. I also don't know if you're relaxed or natural and that could make a difference. I usually use organic or natural products for my hair because they are less harsh and dont make my hair very dry. My hair is natural and I use Giovanni Direct Leave-in conditioner and the Wen hair care line and these work great for my hair. I also use Nexxus and Neutrogena products. I've used V05 Moisture Milks shampoo and this was the best I've used since being natural. I also use raw ingredients like shea and cocoa butters and jojoba, coconut, and olive oils. All of these things help keep my hair moisturized and help keep it healthy.

When I was relaxed I used Pantene, Dove, and TCB hair and scalp moisturizer. It really depends on your hair and hair type when it comes to products, because what one person uses on her hair might not work for you. Trial and error.

For wash and conditioner I use: Wen cleansing conditioner, I used to use V05 before I switched to Wen. Wen is expensive so when I finished with my 3 bottles I'm going to switch to a Giovanni shampoo and conditioner. I wash about 3-4 times a week.

For deep conditioner I use: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Recovery Hair Mask. This makes my hair extremely moisturized. I use this about once a week. I sometimes use my Wen cleansing conditioner as a deep conditioner (It has multiple uses).

For protein I use: Nexxus Emergency. This keeps my curls bouncy so I don't loose elasticity and it keeps my hair stronger so it doesn't break off. I use this about once every two weeks, and I always follow with the Neutrogena hair mask.

For daily moisture I use: Giovanni Direct Leave-in, Nexxus Hemectant (sp) Moisturizing Conditioner, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Smooth as Silk Leave-in. I switch between them. I also seal in my moisture with olive oil so my hair doesn't become dry. I also use Giovanni as my leave-in after I wash.

I also add coconut oil to my hair sometimes at night so my hair doesn't get too dry overnight. I baggy with a natural oil too if I feel my hair could use a bit more repair. I do hot oil treatments with Extra virgin olive oil and this has helped make my hair noticeably stronger, more elasticity, shinier, and silkier and smoother to the touch, among other things.

My hair is natural and it can easily become very dry so my regimen is focused on moisture. I haven't had any breakage since going natural last year. Had i known about the products I used when I was relaxed then I would have definitely used them on my relaxed hair, especially the natural and organic products.Best hair products for african american hair?

just my opinion. What are some of the worst/best hair products on the market today and why?
my favorite hair product is Tressemme hairspray, you can spray it in your hair and it still moves! great stuff! I like sunsilk anti-flat shampoo and conditoner- the only bad thing about their products is they only work for a week then your hair is back to normal! and you have to start another shampoo to get body again. Pantene products are good too.......Happy Holidays!
it depends on what product your buying..

i think paul mitchell has pretty good stuff %26amp; same with chi products
The best product, by far, that I have ever used is Marc Anthony Strictly for Curls shampoo. Wow, I can't say enuf.

The worst I ever used was straight peroxide. You can imagine....hair the color of a school bus.
    tigergirl shampoo.cos it is goddamned
The spray on instant hair from Ronco. It's a can of spray on hair for your head
The ColorVive shampoos are terrible. They make your hair oily and greasy for a few days and only dandruff shampoo gets rid of it.

The best hair products to oily hair?

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for oily hair? I color my hair as well. The best hair products to oily hair?
first of all, dont shampoo your hair everyday.

it takes the natural oils out.

shampoo your hair once or twice a week.

    conditon your hair everday though.

leave it on for at least an hour or so.

or you can leave it on overnight and sleep with it (wrapped in a towel)

and wash it in the morning.

makes your hair soo soft and helps with breakage, dry and damaged, frizzy hair.

do not use pantene or herbal (they have chemicals and waxes that isnt good for our hair)

use dove therapy or tressume! dove therapy has serum in there.

find the one for oily hair.

if you color your hair (use coool water, not hot water!)

    eat lots of healthy food.

red meat helps with hair growth

bananas, vitamins (vit c and b) helps with hair growth.

massage your scalp while washing your hair (helps with hair growth and increase blood cirulation)

do not brush your hair while wet, causes breakage and frizziness.

let it air dry. comb your hair with your fingers.

    let it down and straight.

just keep conditioning your hair all the time to prevent damages and breakage

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>The best hair products to oily hair?
Without knowing more about the texture of your hair or working with it physically, I would suggest using a normalizing shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair and scalp in the right pH, which will be good for your color as well. You might want to try Paul Mitchell Shampoo One and The Conditioner or Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Milk shampoo and conditioner.

You may also want to try caring for your hair differently, shampoo and condition only as needed. So, if you are washing it daily, try every other day, and rinse it thoroughly on the days you don't shampoo. Try experimenting to find out whta works best for you. You can also ask your stylist what they suggest for you in terms of product, maintenance, and styling.

Good luck, let me know if you have any other questions
haha savanna my hair is exactly the same always disgusting every day it needs a wash DONT use drama clean because it works for a week or so but your hair will get used to it and go even oilier i lurrve tony and guy shampoos and cons but also spf i think its called oil removal shampoo works great too

It really doesn`t matter the shampooo though if it says oily hair grab it, even if it`s the cheap stuff, the whole difference is the conditioner beauty parlor info. another thing is use the conditioner that comes w/the color you buy, nothing can beat that, any shampoo like loreal an loreal conditioner same coloring conditioner and hair wash.

What is the best hair products (shampoo&con.) for brunette or brown died hair?what keeps the color in best?

only people who have used the product before! What is the best hair products (shampoo%26amp;con.) for brunette or brown died hair?what keeps the color in best?
It isn't just a matter of hair color. It's also a matter of the texture and quality of your hair. I have colored hair, dark blonde, but that is irrelevant, and my hair, naturally, is fine and very dry. Coloring it makes it more fine and more dry. I have tried John Frieda products for blondes, and all they do is make my hair oily without actually softening, strengthening or repairing it. Clairol Herbal Essence literally made my hair fall out and Pantene products are rated the worst for containing damaging ingredients to your hair such as sodium lauryl sulfate. I need to avoid shampoos with sodium lauryl sulfate which is a harsh detergent and even sodium laureth sulfate, which isn't as harsh, but is still too harsh for me. Ammonium laurel sulfate is a better option, but, if you need a gentle shampoo, the best is to find one that contains none of these ingredients. I have settled on Abba Shampoo, a Paul Mitchell conditioner, and then a dab of restructuring conditioner that I leave on after I towel dry my hair. On the other hand, if you have a coarse hair shaft that is oily, you may need a shampoo that is a little more aggressive. Don't rely on the claims a product makes. Research the ingredients in shampoos for what they do to hair, determine what you hair needs and then find the appropriate shampoo that contains these ingredients. Also, you should look for a conditioner that promotes itself as a ';restructuring'; formula. A conditioner can be anything, that softens the hair, but it is not required to improve the hair. Manufacturers, by law, are not allowed to claim that a conditioner is a restructuring agent unless they can show that it somehow improves the quality of the hair. What is the best hair products (shampoo%26amp;con.) for brunette or brown died hair?what keeps the color in best?

What is the best hair products for dry really long thick hair?

plz answer and if u want to say sommit mean like shave yr hair off , forget it

plz answer xWhat is the best hair products for dry really long thick hair?
i suggest you deep condition with extra virgin olive oil whenever you need it.

condition with gentle conditioners and be generous when applying. i suggest l'oreal or suave conditioners. pick and choose.

shampoo hair no more than twice weekly. put shampoo on your scalp only and let drip on the rest of your hair. do not use pantene or tresemme because they have ammonium laureth sulfate, the harshest of all cleansing ingredients.

also use a small amount of olive oil as a leave on conditioner. a dime amount or quarter size amount. judge how much you need. do this only when you wet your hair. after using olive oil do not use any more products unless you really need to.

once a month remove build up from products by using diluted apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon to every cup of warm water.

What in your expereince are the best hair products and why?

just would like to know about your opinion whats the best value for money? how many products do you use at a time? how quick do they run out?

thanks in advance :)What in your expereince are the best hair products and why?
I use Profound Beauty products. I love them. I use anywhere from 1 to 4 products a day in my hair depending on what look I'm going for. They make great anti-frizz and thermal protection sprays as well as a whole slew of styling products. I also use their shampoo and conditioner regularly and a weekly conditioning treatment. I feel like their products last me a long time and I wash and style my hair almost everyday. I think they're definitely worth the money. My hair is much healthier and shinier since I started using them.

    Check them out at www.profoundbeauty.com

The products i use are all from a stylist called Lee Stafford, they are awesome :)

There are straightening balms, Mould which gives your hair a messy look, and also frizz-resistant spray, they all work really well!

If you want to try them out go to your local 'Boots' store and you can purchase mini bottles of the stuff costing around 拢1 or 拢2 and then the bigger bottles are around 拢6 or 拢7!

Another great brand of hair products are Toni %26amp; Guy - They are really good and smell incredible!

The best hair products for thick curly hair?

I need help on finding one that is cheap price and can help stop frizz and help my hair stay straight when I straighten it

And tell me what the product doesThe best hair products for thick curly hair?
Well I don't know about straightening it, but I scrunch my hair. You can use mousse or gel, but if you use mousse, you should also use hairspray to keep it from frizzing. I use Suave Professionals Scrunching Mousse. I don't know if you have seen it anywhere, but in my town(Raymond, New Hampshire), it can only be found at Hannaford. If you have a Dollar Tree Store where you live, I also love their products. They have an LA Looks Gel2Mousse, and it's amazing. Hope this helped. Sorry about the lack of straightening ideas.

Anyways good products for our hair texture are any kind that are great when it comes to moisturizing . Cheap products that work well on our hair are Vo5 Moisture Milks, Herbal Essence Longterm Relationship or Hello Hydration, Aussie Moist %26amp; Suave Humecto. Other products that work really well that are salon quality are Creme of Nature, Keracare, Joico K-pak %26amp; Mizani. I use most of the above and they work fine on my hair. What is also best for the hair but can be kind of expensive is an all Natural hair product that is sulfate %26amp; paraben free, they don't strip the hair from its natural oils, leaves the scalp moist and hair shiny. What are the best hair products for black hair?
';wen'; - it is a shampoo and conditioner - but you have to follow directions.

it does not suds - it has a rich lather instead.

i have medium length hair and use four pumps on top four on each side and for on back - put on wet hair then add a lil more water and lather.

cover hair till end of bath or shower - then rinse.
depends on what kind of hair product

What are the best hair products for dry hair?

My hair has recently become very dry and frizzy. The hair masks I have tried seem great at first but the day after i use them my hair feels just as dry as before. I dont dye my hair but I do straighten it occasionally with a heat protecting spray. What are the best hair products for dry hair?
Use coconut oil. I have a jar of coconut oil (it's actually more like an oily wax like a pomade) and it's really good for your hair. The dry hair absorbs the oil. It's called Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Hair Conditioner. You lightly apply it on dry hair (not in the shower I mean) and it smooths frizzy hair and flyaways.

Also, try to avoid hair dryers and use conditioner every time you wash your hair. Garnier makes good conditioner. You want something really thick that will coat your hair well. Also, don't wash your hair every day. Try every other day so your natural oils have a chance to moisturize your hair. What are the best hair products for dry hair?
You can try to use moisterizing shampoos...';herbal essences'; is pretty good, but it also depends on your hair type. Use leave-in conditioners. You can spray some in your hair while your hair is damp, that way when your hair drys it is controlled. You can use natural hair products and oils to keep the hair smooth and not frizzy.

If you wanna, you can even try putting avacado in your hair. It works for some people. Just take an avacado and like squish it and leave it in your hair for a while, then rinse it out.

Different things work 4 different people. Just keep trying different products until you find one that works best for your hair.
okay don't shamppoo your hair everyday because that dries it out even more.

get a bottle and put some shampoo in it and then fill half with water to dilute it, then just put in more conditioner, but make sure you rinse it all out.

OR at salons or hair places they have olive oil little packets you can put in your hair, just read the directions i do that! it made my hair not frizzy

(i've tried using real olive oil on my hair.. haha made it greasy and nasty and it's horrible and annoying to rinse out)

  • What are the best hair products for relaxed hair?

I no longer have relaxed hair but it needs protein so any product that contains protein is good. Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner is good protein treatment. Relaxed hair needs a good conditioner/sealant. Anything with shea butter or olive oil is good. In fact anything with carrier oils is good like jojoba, olive, carrot, almond, coconut. These seal moisture in. Organics/Africa's Best Carrot Oil is a good conditioner along with Pantene Relaxed and Natural. I personally buy my hair ingredients alone at flea markets and health food stores you can find essential oils, carrier oils, and butters. I mix them and my hair is loving it!

I also highly recommend henna. It is a natural conditioner that can strengthen all hair but relaxed hair can really benefit. Buy some at health food stores, or online at hennaforhair.com or hennacaravan.com

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvfBY4Z80鈥?/a>

    BIG 10:

    1. Cut any split ends right away before they move up hair shaft. Investigate why you are getting split ends.

    2. Stop using heat, it may seem hard to do but you need to nurse your hair back to health. When you feel you can straighten again heat protection, heat protection, heat protection.

    3. Learn about natural and relaxed hair. You don't specify if your hair is relaxed or natural. If it relaxed sites like longhaircareforum.com are good. If it is natural, naturalhairgrows.com is good. Why educate yourself about natural when you are relaxed? Relaxed hair is just damaged natural hair, I feel many people have damaged relaxed hair becuase they never took the time to learn about natural.

    4. Find products with good ingredients. I no longer use products whose first ingredients are petroleum and mineral oil. Hair grease is not moisturizing. These just coat hair like plastic and clog pores. Unfortunately thay are in a lot of african american hair products. Biracialhair.org has a great ingredient dictionary.

    5. Wear protective hair styles. Buns, two-strand twists, and braids are good examples of these. Anything that covers your ends or where hair isn't loose is a protective style. These are good because you can do them and let your hair rest for a few days/weeks.

    6. Moisture, moisture, moisture. This includes regular conditioner, leave in conditioner, and a deep conditioner. Relaxed and napptural hair eats up moisture. NEVER detangle without conditioner in hair. I like Pantene Relaxed and Natural conditioner.

    7. Protein treatments. I can't attest for these since my hair isn't damaged but I've heard Aphogee 2-Step is good. The protein coats cracks in hair to stop breakage. This is an essential step for relaxed hair.

    8. Sleep in a satin cap or on a satin pillowcase. Rough cotton is not good for hair. Braid hair down at night. Whatever treatments you do to protect hair focus on your ends. These are the oldest part of your hair and usually the weakest. This should decrease breakage. Basically just treat your hair like delicate silk.

    9. Live healthy. This has nothing to do with breakage but hair usually grows in faster and stronger when you eat right, take vitamins and exercise. You want to eat a diet rich in protein and other nutrients. Healthy body=healthy hair.

If you follow the big 9 your hair will be longer and stronger. But at the end of the day, the best thing for relaxed hair is getting rid of the relaxer. Goodluck. What are the best hair products for relaxed hair?

My hair is curly and frizzy and this is what works best for me to leave my hair nice and curly without the frizz. I use shampoo and conditioner called suave sleek. Then, I use any type of cream after, but usually buy the garnier fructis leave in conditioning cream sleek %26amp; shine. Finally, I use la bella gel the clear or blue one (adds shine to your hair). I noticed the cream under the gel keeps it nice and soft instead of just putting gel straight on my hair, which keeps it dried out. Well, Good Luck hope you try this and it works out for you. : )
Drugstore shampoo and conditioner are full of harsh chemicals that strip nutrients from hair and wax the coats the hair shaft. Pantene is the absolute worst though. If you must go with drugstore crap go with Aussie. They use natural ingredients as opposed to harsh/waxy ones. This will help out, but you really need to use a salon quality conditioner to get rid of frizz.

What are the best hair products to use when trying to make your hair grow?

I use all Mane 'N Tail Hair Products. I've noticed a lot of growth, but it does not work over night. I've been using their products for over 6 months now. Especially their Carrot Oil Cream and Reconstructor Protein Conditioning Treatment and shampoo and Conditioner. I just started using their leave in conditioner .

I message my scalp and hair with their Carrot Oil Cream at least twice a week, and it's done wonders for me. Messaging your scalp and adding moisture is the key for hair growth. What are the best hair products to use when trying to make your hair grow?
Hair growth doesn't depend on what you put on the outside....it all comes from the inside...nutrition, excercise, circulation. The healthier you are and the more active you are..the more hair growth you will experience. You can do scalp manipulations to stimulate your circulation...massage your scalp in tiny circles all over front to back and side to side a couple of times a day. You should also be taking a good multi-vitamin with plenty of niacin and B-Complex in it.

  • I am an African American. I want to do a straw set to my hair at home. What are the best hair products 2 use?

Thats a strenuous process to do all by yourself so i think the 1st thing you should get is a friend/relative/neighbor who can help, and preferably know what there doing (you dont wanna go thru all that just o have a nappy lookin straw set after its all done lol)

but to get a straw set all you really need to do is wash your hair and add wrap/setting lotion (i use the foaming kind, but the srpay will be better if you need to re-wet your hair later) and take small sections of hair and roll them onto straws (like regular cheap ol' drinking straws) and keep them in place with bobby pins or some type of clip....if you hair becomes dry during this process add more of the wrap lotion (just enough to re-wet your hair) you may also add an oil sheen wile still wet to enhance shine, and a little bit again after its completely styled...sit under a hooded dryer until it is COMPLETELY DRY..then remove the straws and clips...and syle as you wish...you can also add a little spritz (i dont but if you like you can)....tie your hair with a silk scarf at night, and go! good luck!

Brands i've tried and love :Motions Foaming Wrap Lotion%26amp; Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Oil Sheen...but unless you know a certain brand usually works better for you, or is bad for YOUR hair...wrap lotion is wrap lotion, and oil sheen is oil sheen, use your own preference hereI am an African American. While it's still wet, get loads of mousse such as the one by VO5 in the blue bottle (I forget the name ^-^) and scrunch that up in your hair, you can then leave it to dry naturally and add some more mousse every hour or so, or dry it with a hair dryer. If you blowdry it then keep scrunching while it dries because it will drop otherwise.

Read the book and visit the site below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair. Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt are all that is needed. Then spread conditioner on outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. It is also important to use gel on wet hair and scrunch the hair. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Good luck!Best hair products to use for my short curly hair?
    Hi......

I have naturally thick curly hair.

I use matrix products, the hydrotherapy shampoo and sleek look conditioner.

After showering, I use Mousse and Paul Mitchel ';smoothing style straight works';, which is really smooths out my curls and define them.

Finally I use a diffuser to dry my hair.

    Hope this helps
You need to use shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. My hair always does terrible if I don't! Redken and KMS have good hair products. Go to a salon and check out different products. I also have the frizzy problem. I pay a lot more for these products-but they help! Oh-another thing, I don't brush my hair unless is soaking wet-and even then-rarely. My hair does not respond well to brushings. It makes it frizz more! I wrap it up in a towel for a few minutes-not long, then I put my anti-frizz product in(I use several diff ones-not at same time)-I scrunch it with my hand and let it dry. Turns out beautiful!
Try Designline Curl Mist or Matrix Biolage curl defining cream.
When my hair is wet I put gel for curly hair in it from Pantene. I have tried lots of gels and I think that is the best. It doesn't make my hair crunchy feeling or sticky.
hey, try using dove for curly hair, my friend has curly hair, and she also tried everything and it made her hair frizzy...so she tried dove, and it made her hair shiny, healthy looking, and the curls seperate and have body...
The best solution I have found is the line of Sunsilk products. Their curling shampoo and products are an anti frizz line.

They are in exepensive and work amazing!!

Try it. They sell it everywhere.

    Goodluck!
Matrix Curl Life is a really good not too expensive of a style line or I would defiantly say Curls Rock from catwalk they are both really easy to use the Curls Rock creates a really soft natural curl the curl life is more a ringlet defined curl but I would defiantly suggest running some Paul Mitchell Super Skinny through your hair first no matter if your straighting it or curling it Super Skinny is humidity resistant so even if its hot outside or your getting hot your style will maintain even if its done straight or curly. The problem with drugstore product especially on curl hair it has a lot of alcohol in it or wax properties these break and damage your hair causing it to frizz I would defiantly suggest purchasing a nice blow dryer they are expensive but its worth it. The two brands I would suggest are CHI and Deva curl they both come with diffusers if these are to expensive try a non-professional beauty supply and get one with ceramic or ion technology.
Use Diva Curl and follow their instructions. It will work for you.
Use the Thermasilk products by Helene Curtis. Also, use Frizz-Ease by John Frieda. It is a hair serum that will smooth the most natural curly hair. You will love it and your friends will be jealous!!

I use shampoo and condition called Vive Pro for normal hair. If you go to the store it's the pink Vive Pro. And to control frizz once I get out of the shower I use a gel like thing called So Straight, it's in a yellow and silver bottle. All you do is rub a little in your hair before it's dry, and then you blow dry it fully dry. It always works for me. And I never have to straighten my hair anymore.

    Good luck. :)
when youre in the shower dont wash out all the conditioner. towel dry hair by grabbing your hair with the towel and squeezing the water out with your hand. dont agitate the hair. pat it dry. take a little more conditioner or any curl definer, emulsify it in your hands and grab your hair again, being concious not to agitate the hair.
Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. You can use the one readily available or the fresh one. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info on dry hair.
i have the same problem because of using heat! wat i use is called got2b playful creme pomade. u can buy it pretty cheap at rite aid or drug stores near u. u just massage a little into ur hair before styling or leaving the house and its lasts for quite a while and makes your hair shiny and smooth. i couldnt live without that stuff! and i had a little trouble finding it at first so just to tell u the cream comes in a little, clear, round tub about the size of a baseball with a bright yellow lid. hope this works for u to!
Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Daily Conditioner for Dry/Damaged hair. it fixes your hair

my sister Monica uses it i recommend it.

It makes your hair VERY VERY VERY smooth when it;'s damaged like you say yours is :D

I bought mine for under $5 and it works great.

Not only does it control frizz but it also produces shine.
I use John Freida Frizz-Ease Curl Around shampoo and conditioner, and then I use the hair serum after I get out of the shower. It works really well and it smells good! =]
John Fredia straightening conditioner. It eliminates frizz and makes it easier for you to stle yuo hair.

I would also suggest Frizz Serum (it's available at Walmart).

I try anything i can to get smooth hair ive fried dyed and blow dried and now i moss my hair its curly n can straighten nicly too but if i dont use any chemicals its a mess whats the best things to use for your hair so far me and pantene r best friends but is there anything else? What are the best hair products?
Ok the best way is to keep it natural. After you shampoo, rub some extra virgin olive oil in your hair and wrap a moist towel around your hair. Do this about once or twice a week. After several weeks, I promise you will feel the difference. What are the best hair products?
You know what works really well, take some paraffin wax and pour it all over your hair..sounds stupid doesnt it, well thats whats in Pantene Pro-V they use wax to coat the hair so it seems thick. If you take someones hair tthat has been using it for a long period of time and pinch it while you pull it thru your nails you can actually see the wax coming off. This makes any chemical service harder to take so if your blonde they have to use a higher developer to break thru the wax buildup so that can lead to extra damage. I would suggest using Bumble and Bumble, Profound beauty or Aveda hair products. Go to a good salon with these products and ask them to diagnose your hair and they can suggest the proper products for your hair. Good luck :)
I use Joico hair serum and deep conditioner. It's really good. I was using the shampoo and conditioner too but the shampoo is 16 dollars and so is the conditioner. I bought dove deep conditioning shampoo and conditioner and it works just as good. I have color treated hair which i straighten every day. My hair is really healthy looking and soft. Pantene is no good.
i have same problem. i need to get an oil treatment (really cheap in drugstores) %26amp; get an extra conditioner either from pantene or fructis or something. i've used all of john frieda's products but they just make my hair look greasy.

i did try this 1 product from Neutrogena that seems to smooth away flyaways %26amp; frizz called HEaling SHine Serum. But my sister swears by BIOSILK (expensive) but worth it
The best I have ever found it Fredric Fekkai glossing cream. I get it at Sephora. I get so many compliments on my hair and I swear this stuff is why. Wished it had a pretty smell but basically it has no smell.....but try it you'll love it!
no no no pantene is not your best friend trust me thats why your hair is STILL dry, try some biosilk after the shower when hair is wet also, go to salon and get shampoo and cond. i know my salon i use to work at does two liters of biolege for $25 if you cant afford it get tresseme best thing to do trust me youll see a big difference!

What are the best hair products?

Right now I currently use herbal essences and I love it. I've used a bunch If drugstore hair lines like that pantene garnier fructis suave head and shoulders and others. Now though, I wanna try more expensive hair products and idk which ones to buy. I've heard of tresemme redken bed head and other brands like that. Which brands r the best? What are the best hair products?
hmm tresemme is pretty much the same price range as herbal essences and pantene...

    try:

    - nicky clarke

    - lee stafford

    - Tigi

    - schwarzkopf proffessional

2.Herbal essences. awesome stuff. smells good and it makes my hair really soft.

    3. pantene-cuz i have thick hair. Get it specializing in shine formula, and it works really good.

4.aussie doesn't really help me, but it's okay.

5.L'Oreal is AWESOME-it smells fabulous and it seriously shines.

6.Treseme is really really really good at making your hair soft, and it shines really good-even if you just use the shampoo and other-product conditioner! ive tried it! :D

    7. anything other that is from the salon. it's always worth it, it makes my hair soft and sooo shiny, and i get so many compliments on the smell%26amp; look(aveda!!!!, and treseme)

    8. Dove things really do work, but i just perfer the soap for your bod, not shampoos and conditioners. they are so common and everyother person's hair smells like the cucumber stuff.

You want a light spray mousse or regular mousse. Nothing with firm hold too sticky. Toni and Guy makes good stuff for curly hair also Citrus Shine (?) It is a white bottle w/ black and yellow and orange on the bottle from the gro store.

anything that is a shine product. you don't have to just use those on straight hair. they will calm down curly hair when used wet after washing. the key is to not brush your hair with a brush just shake it out w/ your fingers. brushing will only make it a frizz ball.

    good luck
i would say usesome alveda prducts they work very well.

What are the best hair products that work for REALLY curly hair??

I need something that won't make my hair frizz or make it really big. What are the best hair products that work for REALLY curly hair??
try using products for ethnic hair. mizani works well for some of my 'white' clients with ethnic type hair.

try this with products you ALREADY have:

    shampoo %26amp; rinse well

    TOWEL DRY WELL

    conditioner for 3-5 min.

    rinse cool water

blow dry in direction of hair growth NOT upside downWhat are the best hair products that work for REALLY curly hair??
I have curly hair. I get great results with Paul Mitchell鈥檚 products.
yeah i hav the same problem...i use pantin pro-V curling moose ....curling gell...adn what not...also...if u use some ccurling shampoo when ur wash ur hair with conditioner...it smooths it out making it less frizzy....
There are frizz control gels that will work. I have really curley hair as well. I use lots of conditioner and frizz control gel to tame my hair. I also learned to brush my hair only when wet. If I brush it when it's dry...ha ha
I use La Looks #10 Sport hold hair gel it tames my big natrual curly hair better than any other product made plus I use a good moisturizing conditioner in the shower.
dont listen about the frizz control stuff, it has acid in it like most shampoos that is really bad for your hair, always check the ingredients if you're buying it in k-mart or something like that, but i seriously recommend buying your hair products online. like on ebay, with all natural stuff, like mine is stuff made at someones home and not in a factory, it has: certified organic lavender, calendula, and honeysuckle, with flower extracts for smell. it says that under the ingredients on the back with no acid and it has much more good stuff its called, ';Avalon Organics';, get it on ebay.com, ONLY.

    never use

    pantin pro v

    vo5

    suave

and stuff like that and paul mitchells products are even bad for your hair, i sound crazy but believe me

I'd get my hair in shape before I colored it-maybe you will like your own color if it's shiny %26amp; healthy.

I use Suave shampoo-shampoo can't really do anything for your hair.

Redmon Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeep conditioner is good-so is Garnier deep condition hair mask.

2-3 times a year I heat olive oil to just warm, slather on my hair and cover with plastic wrap and a towel for 30 minutes, then wash out(takes several washes.Best Hair Products to make hair healthy and shiny?

use olive oil on your hair before going to sleep, wish your hair with normal water only(not hot/not cold water).

drink a glass on milk every night before going to sleep.

use only olive oil products related to hair care. you will find you hair strong and beautifull.

for me now all I use is organic stuff in new hair. Shampoo, conditions and to change my colour. Every time I use chemical stuff now my hair feel yuk.

    Here's what you gotta do:

    1. Get a vitamin E capsule (most of them comes in gel capsule form that has a liquid inside. Any brand will do.)

    2. Get a needle and pop the capsule.

    3. Now get your shampoo bottle and put the liquid vitamin E inside the bottle.

    4. Mix the bottle.

    5. Use your shampoo.

You'll notice that your hair will grow faster compared before. Trust me, this works. :) I also do this myself. :)

If you have virgin coconut oil at home, you can use this as well. Put it on hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes (You can do this at least 3x a day). Then rinse it off using your shampoo. The VCO can act as your hair lengthener and as your conditioner. :) Goodluck! :)

What are the best hair products for...?

What are the best of the best hair products for an american girl with rusty brown hair and few highlights? I was hoping I could give my hair a bit more color without actually changing the color, just bringing it out. I would also like my hair to be VERY soft, but I don't want anything more expensive than 30$. Also, would getting highlights cause any hair damage? If so, how bad? AND (sorry this is so long) what is your favorite length of hair? What are the best hair products for...?
THERE ARE TO MANYWhat are the best hair products for...?
olive oil for about 5mins before you go in the shower makes your hair really soft

if you get blonde highlights you will cause your hair damage, the peroxide will dry out your hair and leave it in bad condition for a while.

a few inches below the shoulders looks good :)

Use Mizani Hair products. I love their products. your relaxed hair will start to break off though. This is normal your hair is starting to repare itself. Use wide tooth combs. they will not pull out your delicate hair that is grwing in its place. Use olive oil. I love hair products with tea trea oil in them. To let your hair grow out of a perm, you have to super condition it every week and keep it from getting dry. You don't need much, try olive oil for a deep condition. Then keep the ends trimmed to avoid stressing the strainds as they grow.

Also, I'd suggest visiting a local Beauty Supply store and look for this line of product called Creme of Nature.... AWESOME PRODUCT with good ingredients.

Ojon has some of the best products for dry damaged hair. Try their restorative treatment from the palm nut oil it really helps to repair and rehydrate the hair. Also any products by Phyto or Rene Furterer are both excellent. All these brands can be found at Sephora of course.
    Nexxus
Biolage is very good for your type of hair! It's not perfect and you might have to buy a hair serum to help with flyaways, but good shampoo, conditioner and brushing really does go a long way. And you might want to buy a defuser if you use a blowdryer, it helps waves and curls.
The Kiwi line and the Texture line is the best. They are kinda pricey, but they work. You can find them at The beauty supply store.

Try Curl Life it might be a little spendy but it works great! What is the best hair products for curls?
I have curly hair (naturally) and I only use a few products. I tend to change shampoos just because my hair will get used to one and then it weighs my curls down. I usually use the cheap stuff. After getting out of the shower, I put in a leave in conditioner - usually Infusium and brush through. After getting ready in the morning and usually right before leaving for the day, I will put mousse (Herbal Essence) in my hair-- all over. I never, ever blow dry my hair. Most of the time I leave with it wet but it always looks great all day long!!! Hope this helps.
i have the same situation and stopped straightening my hair

take a shower in the morning,

towel dry just so its not too wet or drippy but still wet,

    sunsilk leave in conditioner

tressme curling gel %26amp; mousse (two different products),

sunsilk curling mousse%26lt;not too much it will get hard if too much

and tossle hair with fingers so it wont be flat and it will give it volume

basically all tressme and sunsilk products are good

    have fun :)
    you should use a coriolis!

To be honest, I used Head and shoulders for shampoo. I never thought it would work, but it does. got2be hair products are good, and herbal essences are good for textures and all that.

I also have this straightening cream from loreal in a pink bottle, that really works and protects your hair.

I use Aussie for hairspray, and that works too. but if you have sensitive hair, maybe Lacoupe or something. What are the best hair products? Healthiest?

What do you mean by keeping it up? Maintence part well then it will be the Doo Gro hair care products or Dr. Miracles hair care products.
I personally like Pantene for women of color products. The shampoo and conditioner have enough oils in them to leave my hair moisturized, instead of greasy.
    Shaver.
    aldo curl spray

    Dove or Pantene
I really wouldn't use the ones the others put.

What is the best hair products to use on damaged hair to get it really smooth and shiny??? And no, pantene sux
Well, I know I've been reccomending this stuff like crazy, but what I use is this stuff called Cholesteral. It's this thick, creamy stuff that comes in a jar. You can buy it like anywhere, and all you have to do is go in the shower, get your hair wet, then get out. Put the cholesteral on your hair and leave in for about 30 minutes. Then wash it out in your shower with shampoo. It makes damaged hair a lot stronger and wayy smooth. They even use it at salons.
You should use Infusium 23.I used it and it helped.
bed head would have to be the best if your is that damaged get hair serum
i agree patene does suck. i personally like suave sleek shampoo, works as could as the expensive stuff, its in a orange bottle and i also use matrix milk contioning leave in spray before drying.
paul mitchell..smooth n sleek line is good..and it smells good too.
redken. choose which one fits your hair type. try it for a week, its good. but if you have sensitive skin, it sometimes makes you break out. be careful.
i'm sorry pantene hasn't been working for you. it has worked for me for 15 years. it's the only thing i can use on my long hair so i can actually get a brush thru it. They have a new line of products for intense therapy - it's worth trying out ! They're a little more expensive but I find it works even better than the usual pantene that i use which is smooth and sleek. of course - depending on the damage you have caused to your hair - some things can't be fixed - you just have to wait to have your hair regrow.
Try Neutrogena Triple Moisture Products. This is the first one I've tried that I actually saw fast results with on my hair. Every time I would go to get my hair cut the hair cutter would comment on how dry my hair is, usually because they wanted to sell me their store brand products that never work.

I've been using them less than a week and have been impressed with the immediate difference in my hair. I use the shampoo plus the leave-in conditioner and to start off more intensively I've used the Deep Recovery Hair Mask twice this week instead of only once as recommended. I'm sure I'll go down to once a week after the first couple of weeks. The mask is what seems to make the difference, after I wash my hair and use the mask my hair feels like silk.

They have a lot of other products to try, I just didn't find them at the store when I was shopping. I'm thinking about just ordering them from the web site because I really want to try the Pure Strength Oil Therapy. I included the link below so you can read about what they offer and decide if it's something you want to try.

I shouldn't really be surprised since all the Neutrogena products I've used have been effective, plus they cost less than the salon brands (I've used all those too and gone broke doing it).

If you ask me again in another week I can give you updated results.

Good luck...I know how it sux to have dry, damaged hair!

P.S. No build-up from these products or any you wash out of your hair. Mousse, gel, hairspray (styling products) are going to be the biggest build-up culprits.
I use Nature's Gate Organics shampoo and conditioner, and I've been really happy with them. I'm pretty sure they have special treatment shampoos for that sort of thing - I don't know if they work, but they're completely natural so it's not going to hurt any to try. They smell great too.
YOU COULD WAHS IT REAL GOOD....DEEP CONDITION IT...AND THEN YOU PUYT ROLLERS IN YOUR HAIR EVER SINGLE NIGHT....OR YOU COULD BRAID YOU HAIR WITH WEEVE OR INSTENTIONS...
Try Dove Shampoos and conditioners or Garnier Fructis.
    try V05 hot oil treatment
Step 1: Switch your shampoo and conditioner.

Pick a combo that's made to moisturize dry hair. Even if your hair isn't dry right now, sun, salt water, and chlorine sap its natural oils and can make it parched in no time. Shampoo every other day; condition each time you wet your hair.

Step 2: Treat hair with a leave-in conditioner.

A leave-in moisturizes hair continuously throughout the day. The bonus: These products usually contain sunscreen, which helps protect color-treated hair from the sun -- which can turn color brassy.

Step 3: Wet hair before swimming.

Dry hair soaks up more salt water and chlorine than does already-wet hair -- which means dry hair incurs more damage after swimming. Use plain tap water to soak hair before you take the plunge.

Step 4: Get no-snag hair accessories.

If you participate in summer sports, you most likely pull your hair back into a ponytail. Choose pony holders with no metal on them, since metal closures snag and tear hair. And vary the position of your pony to avoid putting undue stress on your hair.

Step 5: Get into a regular mask routine.

Once a week, give your hair intensive repair time by applying a hair mask containing moisturizing ingredients like avocado oil or shea butter. Another idea: Apply your mask before heading out into the sun. The sun's heat will allow the mask to better penetrate your hair.
    I agree Pantene sucks.

I like Icon. It did wonders for my hair. Also try Biolage.
