BEST hair products for my hair, I'm African American and Asian?

The last time I had my hair trimmed, the lady asked what hair products I used. I said Herbal Essences and it is based on alcohol and it dries up my hair very quickly and harshly. I want a really good shampoo and conditioner to use, and also not too expensive. ;)

any ideas help, thank you :)BEST hair products for my hair, I'm African American and Asian?
I'd suggest Aussie's MOIST line, for me, personally, it's made my hair really soft-feeling.

Also, I'd suggest visiting a local Beauty Supply store and look for this line of product called Creme of Nature.... AWESOME PRODUCT with good ingredients.

But you should also try doing deep conditioners and invest in a good leave-in conditioner to cut down on the dry-feeling in your hair.

Hope this helps, hun!!

EDIT: PS: I recommended these because they are pretty inexpensive!BEST hair products for my hair, I'm African American and Asian?
Try products without sulfates, those really dry out the hair.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend you anything in particular because I haven't nearly gotten around to sampling many of these and I'm still struggling with keeping my hair moist. Still, these are the ones I hear about most.
like the opther person said if u want more u have to pay more. Aveda is my fave cuz its all nautral and works amazing on all hair types. But 95 if not 99% of hair products u find on the shelves on your local stores is alchol based.
In order to get the results that you are looking for you will have to invest a little more in your hair products. The best lines of Hair products are Paul Mitchell, Keracare, and Redken. If you find that they are really expensive try purchasing them on amazon.com.. GOOD LUCK
Im not really all that sure.. but you could take this quiz and find out. It seemed to work very well for me..hope it works out for you!
