Well, i have extremely curly hair and I use ';Threads'; by Sebastian. it may be around 10 dollars, but a little goes a long way so it lasts a very VERY long time, even if u use it every day.

you rub it between your hands and pull it apart a bit, then rub it on damp/slightly wet hair. it works great for me!
sunsilk for curly hair works well.
John Frida and Garneir Fructice or a little more expensive bed head or bialoge =-)
I have curly hair and use paul mitchell shampoo and detangling spray (light leave in conditioner) to help with any frizz i use gloss drops and to keep the curls separated there is also a great moose which is non sticky. All are available from look fantastic.com and they do work as they are all salon products

Bed Head. Its a professional line of products. You can find them in any hair salon. They're not Wal-Mart cheap but they're awesome. They have a hairspray that comes in a blue bottle. I think its called curl booster. It's great.
